Colin Campbell appointed commander in Chief
July 13yesterday, Sir Colin Campbell a veteran of Peninsular and Crimean wars and well known for his conspicuous gallantry and leadership, was appointed the Commander-in-Chief in India and is expected to set sail for India today or tomorrow.
Lets not mis-underestimate him. He has had past experience of India having seen action at Ramnagar, Chillianwallah and Gujarat during the Second Sikh War.
