Welcome to the Sepoy Mutiny Blog.
This blog will transport you back 150 years and give you a daily update on the state of the Uprising, as it was, in 1857; detailed account of the rebellion from inside and the news on the movement of British Troops; the intrigue and strategy, the triumphs and resiliency of the rebellion movement.
Lets watch how it unfolds and ponder what could it have been!
Real Names, real people, real events. Thanks Sunny for not letting us forget!
I have seen British names plastered all over but have never seen Indian names shown. Is there a central memorial listing all the known names?
it is not very good u need to know ur info before u put this crap on here
George, these names are taken from an excellent book titled:
Whos Who Of Indian Martyrs III by P.N.Chopra (1973). It was Indian government sanctioned work.
You can read it at the digital library of India at http://www.new.dli.ernet.in/
To avoid any impression that I was making this up, I actually copied the page and pasted the paragraph as it appeared in the book.
